Terms of Use
BodySpex provides services to its members (You) subject to this Terms of Service Agreement (TOS).
BodySpex provides a web site and supporting software (Site) where members work toward health and fitness goals. The Site provides tools for tracking weight, body fat and other health and fitness metrics and behavior. The Site provides additional features, including articles, advertising, and a community forum (Forum). BodySpex may change the features offered at any time.
Use of the main BodySpex Site is free. BodySpex may offer certain premium features on the Site for a fee.
Use of the BodySpex scale for body fat testing and progress tracking is by subscription, which is covered in a separate TOS.
Participation on the BodySpex Site is at your own discretion and at your own risk. You agree to be careful in your actions and respectful of the rights of others, including the right to privacy.
Please take care that your participation remains consistent with the health and fitness goals of the BodySpex community. Material that is derogatory or hurtful to an individual or group is not allowed. Commercial activity, excepting that authorized by BodySpex, is not allowed.
Participating in the BodySpex community Forum keeps you motivated and on track for your health and fitness goals. In the course of participation, you may offer information that might be personal. Be careful what you say about yourself and never disclose the personal information of another. You agree that You are entirely responsible for your own interactions with other BodySpex members, both online and, should it occur, in person.
You agree...
- not to use offensive language or engage in personal attacks,
- not to attempt to gain access to private information of another member,
- not to impersonate BodySpex staff, affiliates, another member or anyone else,
- not to mislead others or use the BodySpex service in the course of any illegal activity,
- not to post material that violates the copyright of another.
Images that you post should be consistent with the BodySpex Health and Fitness lifestyle. BodySpex believes in the myriad beauty of the human form; however, images that are overtly sexual or particularly offensive are not appropriate.
BodySpex may remove or edit any post and may restrict access in whole or in part.
BodySpex will not share your Personal Information with a third party without your advance consent unless compelled by law.
BodySpex does not warrant any content of the community Forum. Some Forum information may be incorrect, misleading, or not suitable for certain people. Some information and links may lead outside BodySpex, where BodySpex has no control.
BodySpex does not dispense medical advice. Individual bodies differ, and some diets or activities may not be appropriate for You. For personal medical questions and before beginning any exercise or diet program, seek the advice of your health professional. Some activities mentioned at BodySpex may be dangerous and could lead to injury or even death. Exercise good judgement and caution.
You agree to inform BodySpex administrators where you believe these Terms of Service have been violated. If you have reason to believe that someone is a threat to himself or to others, inform the law enforcement authority.
You agree to hold BodySpex harmless for any consequence, direct or incidental, that may arise from your participation in the Site.
BodySpex may modify this TOS from time to time. When there is significant change to this TOS, BodySpex will notify You.
By participating in the Site and Forum, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Terms of Service Agreement and agree to be bound by it.
